We like to see the bridal party for their first fitting roughly 8 weeks before the wedding date. The average bridesmaid needs two fittings in those 8 weeks; some less, some more, depending on how much work is needed on their dress. So allow for two 30 min appointments when planning out your alterations.
The average cost of bridesmaid alterations is difficult to judge as each dress is different and each woman (and their body) unique. I recommend budgeting between £35 and £90 for your dress to be altered.
