We like to see ladies for their first fitting roughly 4-6 weeks before the event date. The average dress needs two fittings in those 4-6 weeks; some less, some more, depending on how much work is needed on their dress. So allow for two 30 min appointments when planning out your alterations.
The average cost of evening dress alterations is difficult to judge as each dress is different and each woman (and their body) unique. I recommend budgeting between £35 and £150 for your dress to be altered.
